"Thank you, everyone, Xiao Wei has recovered and been discharged from the hospital, and we have returned to Sarikei, Sarawak safely."

Yip Xiao Wei was born on February 18 at the Sarawak Sarikei Hospital. She was diagnosed with serious heart disease and later was transferred to Kuching Hospital by helicopter for treatment. She underwent a Balloon atrial septostomy, which was designed to buy the baby girl time to undergo corrective surgery for transposition of the great arteries of the heart.

After the operation, the hospital arranged for her to undergo corrective surgery for transposition of the great arteries at a specialist hospital in Kuala Lumpur. On March 5, she flew to Kuala Lumpur for surgery, accompanied by her mother Ng Siong Ho, and medical staff. The RM80,000 needed surgery fee was fully raised.

She underwent surgery on March 8th. The operation was very successful. She was observed in ICU and transferred to the general ward on March 16th. Due to her good condition, she was allowed to be transferred back to Kuching Hospital.

In order to save her life, she has flown twice to seek a doctor. Now she did fly back to Sarawak in a healthy body. After being observed in Kuching Hospital for several days, she was allowed to be discharged on March 24th. Her family is very excited to welcome the baby back home for the first time.

Their baby girl's current condition is getting better and better. The parents are very grateful to all the generous people who helped their daughter through the difficulties of life.
